چکیده

Abstract. The large field of view and compact structure make fisheye lens cameras an attractive technology for mobile mapping systems visual navigation. Fisheye usually have a equal to or higher than 180°. Lenses that can capture light rays coming from angles larger 180° are known as hyper hemispherical lenses. Some the existing mathematical models be unsuitable those points beyond when performing photogrammetric processes based on these equations, underexploring full potential cameras. In this case, depending selected projection model, appearing in (HH) produce blunders bundle adjustment. Nevertheless, most available solutions camera calibration adjustment were implemented using equidistant model. Therefore, located often removed either during keypoint detection by applying mask remove entire HH images. paper, we assessed experimentally hypothesis original full-field image introduces blunders, deteriorating experiments performed with Ricoh Theta S 360° which was mounted backpack platform. set video mode, frames captured at rate 1 fps, while traversing urban street, generating 307 frames. Experiments performed, including removing results show errors dataset ones cropped

Bundle adjustment using aerial images with two-stage geometric verification

In this paper, a new pipeline of Structure-from-Motion for ground-view images is proposed that uses feature points on an aerial image as references for removing accumulative errors. The challenge here is to design a method for discriminating correct matches from unreliable matches between ground-view images and an aerial image. If we depend on only local image features, it is not possible in pr...

Combined Bundle Adjustment of Panoramic and Central Perspective Images

Based on a strict mathematical model for rotating line cameras developed at the Institute of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing of the Dresden University of Technology, a self-calibrating bundle adjustment of panoramic image data was implemented. This model has been extended by the option to involve central perspective images of a conventional camera. A panoramic bundle adjustment is a suitable ...

Pipeline Reconstruction from Fisheye Images

Automatic inspection of pipelines has great potential to increase the efficiency and objectivity of pipeline inspection. 3-D pipeline reconstruction can provide a valuable addition to automatic pipeline inspection. We present a system which can reconstruct the inner surface of buried pipelines from multiple fisheye images captured inside the pipes. The reconstruction output will facilitate pipe...

Bundle Adjustment in the Large

We present the design and implementation of a new inexact Newton type algorithm for solving large-scale bundle adjustment problems with tens of thousands of images. We explore the use of Conjugate Gradients for calculating the Newton step and its performance as a function of some simple and computationally efficient preconditioners. We show that the common Schur complement trick is not limited ...

Incremental Light Bundle Adjustment

Fast and reliable bundle adjustment is essential in many applications such as mobile vision, augmented reality, and robotics. Two recent ideas to reduce the associated computational cost are structure-less SFM (structure from motion) and incremental smoothing. The former formulates the cost function in terms of multi-view constraints instead of re-projection errors, thereby eliminating the 3D s...
